June 3, 2022 – Sentrics is proud to announce that Chief Strategy Officer, Rick Taylor and Vice President of Sales, John Sanfilippo, R.N., spoke at the Florida Assisted Living Association’s 2022 Annual Conference & Tradeshow on June 2, 2022 about the role technology plays in helping senior living operators delight residents, improve care and gain traction in a highly competitive market. Scheduled from 10:15 – 11:15 AM ET, the session highlighted the role data plays in giving operators the insights they need to keep residents physically safe, medically well, socially engaged and cognitively connected. The conference, held at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, FL., included hundreds of executives from local senior living communities gathered to reimagine the future of senior living. Key presentation topics include the impact COVID has had on the senior living market’s occupancy, resourcing, revenue and care models, and the role technology has in its recovery.

“The pandemic accelerated the need for senior living operators to care for a more frail senior population that wants more care options where they live,” said Taylor. “This puts chronic care management squarely on the shoulders of today’s operators. At the same time, seniors have higher expectations around life safety and socialization, all while dealing with a shortage of workers. Operators who have and continue to adopt technology, have a much greater advantage over their non-technical competitors in retaining and keeping satisfied residents healthier longer.”

Rick Taylor has more than 24 years of experience providing life safety technology to the senior housing industry. Throughout his career, he has worked on new construction, retrofits, remodels, and repurposing communities across the nation and around the world, including Canada, China, Indonesia and Mexico.

An experienced senior living and healthcare professional, John Sanfilippo has worked in the field for over 25 years. A registered nurse, he combines real-world medical and business experience to help senior living operators, REITs and developers develop innovative solutions that bring value to residents, families and care staff in senior living.

The 2022 Florida Assisted Living Association conference focused on “Lessons of the Past, Reimagining the Future.” It provided an opportunity for operators to network with other professionals, review updated information about the latest trends in the industry, and find vendors to help them provide better care to residents and staff.
